This sale is for a wonderful and early Chinese porcelain water pot. The pot is finished with a rich and finely applied Clair de Lune glaze. The glaze has wonderful color and stops evenly just above the foot. The pot stands on a tall foot and is marked on the underside with a six character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue. We feel that there is a good chance that this pot dates to the period but we will let you judge from the photos. The underside also retains an old inventory number from a former collection. It measures 3.7 inches across the body. The condition of the pot is very nice with only one small and shallow flake on the top rim. The foot rim does have a flake as well which was done in the making as it is glazed over.
