Up for sale is a Extremely Rare and Important Chinese Imperial Famille Rose Turquoise Ground Vase. The Vase is an Exceptional and Authentic imperial workshop produced piece. The Vase would have been made in the very late Qianlong to very early Jiaqing reign. The Vase is unsigned as you can see. The Vase would have been made shortly after Emperor Qianlongs death. Some examples made at the imperial kilns shortly after the Emperors death were marked with Qianlong marks, some Jiaqing marks, and some like this example were left unsigned. The Vase can be compared to an identical example with Jiaqing mark sold at Sothebys Paris June 09 2011, lot 181(as photoed). This vase sold for an astonishing 360,750EUR, or 462,000USD. If you log in and view the condition report you will also see this vase was noted as having a broken neck and still achieved this amount. This example being sold here does have a small break to one of the bat handles, a few minor glaze flakes and some glaze crazing which could very easily be restored if one desired. However overall the vase offered here is in much better condition than the one sold in 2011 with no breaks, porcelain chips, cracks, or repairs to the main body. The Vase is an astonishing and breathtaking example as you can see. The details and crisp designs are truly astonishing throughout the vase. The vase is one of the finest examples of imperial made porcelain I have personally ever seen. The Vase would be one of a very few that would have been produced only for use within the Imperial palaces. The Vase has a brilliant array of vibrant famille rose colors, along with a beautiful turquoise ground, and is also richly gold gilt throughout. The Vase is a truly stunning display piece measuring 12 5/8 inches tall, by 7 inches wide. As said the vase is fully guaranteed to be a period imperial kiln made example, as an educated collector of high end imperial porcelain wares can obviously see. As you can see by my response and over 10 years excellent selling record I do not misrepresent my items at all. I sell multiple items upwards of ten thousand dollars on a regular basis which my customers are always happy with, as also seen in my response. As I am sure some of you know this is not the first time I have sold important imperial pieces online. There has been a number of important examples I have sold over the years which the winning buyers have made substantial gains on and in some cases upwards of size figures placing the pieces in the right high end sale. If I owned the vase I would surely be sending it to Paris or Hong Kong where in comparison to the other vase that sold with a broken neck it would surely get some great interest. There are a large number of pieces being sold online calling themselves imperial or this or that. But really in a year or ten years for that matter how many Authentic Imperial examples like this are ever offered outside a large sale house. From what I have seen very few to say the least. This is an opportunity I would not take lightly, you will very much regret not owning this magnificent and very rarely seen piece. There is a very good chance that this vase was in fact in the presence of an Emperor. If this vase could only talk what a story it would tell. I do wish everyone the very best of luck with the sale. Provenance: This Vase along with many of the other items listed are from the estate of a prominent family. The Family owned large amounts of land in Hong Kong in the earlier 1900s period which in turn made them extremely wealthy. The Family travelled extensively with residence all over the world. One of their main residence is here in Toronto which is how I acquired the items through estate lawyers I work with which settle and liquidate estates. I was told the collector was actively buying at high end galleries and sales houses all over the world throughout the 1950-70s period. I was told he was well known for spending large sums of money if he seen an item he liked. Some of the items were also family pieces which were inherited by the collector and have been in the family since the earlier 1900s period.
