Important Murrle Bennett Hm1908 Silver Enamel Buckle Art Nouveau Jugendstil Nr For Sale
This fantastic silver buckle measures 48mm (2'') x 35mm (1.5'') and weighs 23 grams. It is fully hallmarked to the front for Sterling Silver Birmingham 1908 with the importers mark H.C.F and to the reverse 950 M.B&Co RegD with a circular logo with the letters TIF?. The front is beautifully designed and crafted with superb Art Nouveau design with green and red enamel highlights on a simple silver background. The enamel does show signs of scratching to the surface (photo4) but in the hand it really is the most impressive piece of work. A top quality buckle from one of the finest designers who's piece's were sold through retailers including Liberty of London. International buyers are always welcome to this sale. F.M.O.C.
