Up for sale with is a most incredible Large Continental Sterling Silver & Ox (Cow) Horn 5 Light Candelabra. The Candelabra is unlike any I have seen before and is a most interesting example. The Candelabra is very finely and deeply etched with handsome Acanthus Leaf designs to the Base and stem which are also repeated on the wax cup portions. The Silver portions have all been tested and are guaranteed to be Sterling Silver throughout. The Arms of each Candlestick are Cow Horns, I have never seen another like this and I am sure it would make been made by a top maker. The Candelabra has a real power to it, something about it I just can't put into to words and it is much more handsome than my photos show. The Candelabra is in excellent condition throughout with no cracks, dents or repairs. I should point out that due to the Cow Horns not being perfectly straight, the candles may stand at some angels, this is how it was made. The Candelabra is a large and very impressive example measuring 17-1/2" tall by 13-1/2" wide across the arms and has a quality total weight of 2010 grams. The Arms also unscrew from the center portion for ease of storage, though I can't imagine not wanting to have this beauty on display all the time. I doubt you will ever see another like this up for sale again !
