India Rupee Ngc Ms 64 1888 Calcutta Silver Fdps For Sale
Full Dress Panel Strike- Toned highly lustrous, and a really good strike on both sides-BEWARE: IF YOU RECEIVE A SECOND CHANCE FOR THIS sale IT'S PROBABLY A SCAM! I RARELY SEND SECOND CHANCE OFFERS!!!! Here are my short thoughts about this coin : This is a one year type as many of you know, and some of you may be reading this for the first time. The median grade for this coin by NGC standards is AU 58 from my experience or worse. This coin was struck for possibly 3 years or so, but this issue was a heavily circulated. 1947, 1948, 1949, and part of 1950 this coin was probably struck. 1950 and 1954 One Rupee coins are also condition sensitive issues as well. Most of these 1947 examples you, and I will find will be cleaned. I must have owned over 30+ examples that I thought were unc/bu. But only 7 made my grading cut, and were submitted for grading. I purchased all my 1947 Bombay examples over a 5 year period, and this coin is one of the most condition sensitive issues issued. The design has wide open fields on the obverse, many high points which are prone to dings, and wear. It's a Nickel issue that is generally found cleaned, and will appear unc/bu, but that is not always the case most of the time. This issue is a deceptive coin in the sense it's easy to "scrub" one of these coins, and make it appear UNC/BU. There were 118+ Million issued, and there is certainly no shortfall of this coins availability. But in a true UNC or better it get tougher, and tougher the higher you go up the grading scale. The same can be said about the 1940-1945 Rupee issues which are softer, and are very condition sensitive as well. MS 65 you may ask for 1947? One may search this earth a very long time for such a high quality coin. These coins were not struck in the best manner either, and you never know what kind of rim you will see on these coins. For some reason the smooth fields always have wear, and I'm guessing if one of these dies was repolished the coin would look cleaned because of the transfer of hairlines. The hairlines on Nickel coins is going to transfer much differently that a softer metal such as silver, and copper. The hairlines on the die might have actually "scratched" the surface if the "right" strike wasn't impressed on the planchette, and Nickel is a very hard metal. The 1947 Rupee in UNC (MS 60) or better grades are not easy to to India-buyers may offer but may only have coins delivered to a USA address, and the following is applicable: Your paypal payment address must be the same as the checkout address for delivery-I will not ship to a different shipping address other than a matching address-No exceptions, and please don't ask-Be well, and stay well-Good luck offerding, thank you kindly for your continued support, and business-Sincerely, Sanjayplease read all that is listed below before you offer-I will only ship up to 12 slabs in one package Internationally.
