This is a fantastic Italian violin with an wonderful richsound...ithas an amazing,clear,singingtreble voice...the bassstrings produce a powerful, penetrating resonant sound,deep and mellow as you\'d expect of annice old
violin. It was fully restored many years ago and

mode. There is absolutely no enhancement of the sound
whatsoever...no expensive, no special microphones,no
computer alteration, no studio effects. The piece is an
excerptfor the very difficult Ysaye Ballade. Theplayer
is a violin student whowelcomes your comments.This is a gorgeous violin. The back and sides are of
a highly flamed maple; the top of spruce tonewood.
The varnish is original and in nice condiiton.
It is a rich color, buttery and warm.
It is a special violin with a lovelyold patina...that look
that only father timeimparts on a genuine old instrument.
This violin was restored many years ago to repair
a back crack that was properly cleated and
is holding strong. As you can hear it doesn\'t

This violin is the kind of instrument that we, as
violinists, search for but rarely find. This violin
is on consignment from a local violinist and will
be sold here on to the highest buyer.
CONDITION REPORT:
There are no cracks to the front, neck or scroll. There is a back
restoration. No open seams.There are the usual signs of
wear from years of play, the usualdings, scratches, etc. that
you\'dexpect in a violin that is almost 100 years old. Like
anyold violin it might benefitfrom a fresh set of strings;
anda setup, etc. to your taste. A very nice instrument;
I\'ve posted many photoswhich are part of the description.SHIPS in an OLD CASE. I\'ll ship it in an older, shaped case;
it is okto protect the violin in shipping but it shouldbe
replaced with a more modern case as itsseenbetter
days and isn\'t worthy of this violin. No Bow.
