Imperial Carnival Glass Tumbler, Cobalt Blue, Lustre Rose Pattern For SaleFor sale is this iridescent Cobalt Blue Imperial glass tumbler. The pattern is Lustre Rose, or may be called Imperial Rose. I find no chips or cracks. The flat outside has a few tiny scratch lines, but the rim and stand are absolutely smooth. It does have the typical mold imperfections like seam lines and small bubbles. The pattern and color show no wear, and the color and iridescence is vibrant and deep as can be seen in photos of the inside. The bottom has the pressed star, also with no marks and chips.
Research about Imperial suggests it might have been part of water-pitcher & glass sets, reissued using the Imperial molds. If so, these would come from 1981-84, and have the ALIG mark somewhere. This tumbler is NOT marked; I have no history of this tumbler. Is the mark only on the pitchers, or is the tumbler older? I don't know.
I have a second perfect tumbler and will sell it for the same price and include it with an additional $2 shipping fee. I also have two others, same beautiful condition except for a tiny chip below the flat band on the outside. Email if you are interested in these.
The tumbler measures 4 5/8 in. high, and 2 7/8 in. in diameter at the top.
I am not an expert on Imperial glass, and have done my best to describe this piece, and post accurate photos. Please email me with any questions and I'll answer promptly, or with further information which I'll add to the description.
I try to charge actual shipping without a handling fee. For international shipping please inquire before offerding. I find rates for items over 4 pounds to be very high, and do not recommend international purchasers, except for light items.
I expect payment, paypal preferred, within 5 days of sale’s end. I will accept returns within 7 days of you receiving the item, but only in original condition. Buyer must pay return shipping.
