This is the rear or front scales off the back of a Garde du Corps helmet. Probably the front as I thinkthe rear is mopre fish tailed in appearance. Either way it is a very rare to find on their own and in great condition. It has not been cleaned and I am sure itwould clean up magnificently. It is ideal if you have a project you want to finish off etc.
