Important Rare One Of Kind "weller Pottery" Trial Vase By Dorothy England:
A very rare one of a kind very important "Trial Vase" from Weller Pottery.
This is a fine example done by Dorothy England Laughead dated 1920-1930's of a trial vase for internal Weller Pottery use that never was mass produced.
This is fine Ohio clay which is dense and very smooth, cool to the touch a wonderful item.
This vase stands 6" tall base is 3 1/4" and mouth of base is 3". Vase is beautifully hand decorated.
Vase is artist initialed DE standing for Dorothy England with YL#3 for the clay and color and firing of vase and Weller Pottery signed in the clay.
The condition and colors are wonderful soft pink bottom of vase turning to soft yellow/green to the mouth of vase. There is no chips, cracks this is original with no repairs. There is crazing on the vase but wonderful petina.
A must for any pottery collector, a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase such a wonderful one of a kind vase.
