Impressionist Artist Kamil Kubik St Patrick's Day Irish Parade / Cathedral Print:
This is a beautiful print by International Impressionist, KAMIL KUBIK. We worked together and were dear friends for many years and I have quite a few of his prints and several original pieces that I simply adore. They are hanging on my walls and I promise you......I never, EVER get tired of looking at them. THe has an extensive body of work....and this sale is for one of his best.......THE ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE in New York City. It is passing in froont of the gorgeous St. Patrick's Cathedral and you must look closely at the photographs to see the detail Kamil has captured in this painting. It looks like a photograph.....it is just that good.I alwayswonder how someone can take a brush or a pastel and create somethinglike this.LOOK at the lines, the detail of thisCathedral!!!! How does someone do that??? Kamil could not only do it....he could do it in a day. Just like that he would set up his things and paint. From life......to canvas. I have watched himpaint / drawand it is honestlysomething to see!. Many years ago, I had commissioned him to paint the NEW JERSEY STATE HOUSE. I was working there at the time and I had been searching for something to use as gifts for a particular group of people who deserved something special. It was a difficult search but a dear friend, who was also a collector of fine art introduced me to Kamil Kubik. Kamil was a well known International Artist who was a favorite of President and Mrs. Bush as well as Donald Trump. I enjoyed getting to know Kamil and really fell in love with his work.We do share ourCzech heritage.....something KamilLOVED!! His loyalty to his homeland was deep and strong and he made annual trips to Prague to help the Government and the people he called Family. He agreed to help me with my project and we began discussing ideas about what he could create that would work for me. The first was our State House and I watched him on the day he came to Trenton, happily set up his easel and paints and went to work. By the end of the afternoon he had created a masterpiece. It was truly gorgeous.......like most of what he has done throughout his career..
But this sale....for thisparticular print of this annual Irish paradeis so joyous and celebratory. The marchers...the colors....the confetti falling from the sky.....the little leprechaun hanging from the lamp post!! The average selling price of this print would vary by galleryof course but certainly not less than $500. I will list this here for $300 and it would be a steal at that price. It is signed in pencil by Kamil....(see photo #6) and is nearly perfect...if not perfect. (I am always hesitant to claim ANYTHING is perfect because what is??? But this print is that close) . Please e-mail any questions you may have and I will list a brief Bio ofKamil at the end of this Description for those of you who may not be familiar with this incredible artist or his international body of work. Thanks for your interest and Happy offerding.
