Description
An Indian bronze head in the form of Gauri, mounted to a wooden base. Gauri is a form of Siva's consort Parvati. These heads were attached to ceremonial effigies. This one has been mounted to a wooden base. It is difficult to be precise on date here but I am assuming it is a piece from the 1900s rather than earlier.

Condition is good with wear to patina. Couple of casting holes to hair. The neck is drilled to the front base rim. Base felt worn.
The piece is 22cm high (approx 8¾"), including plinth.
