During our research we have been informed it dates from the 18th century.

Dating about c1790s.

Of a european origin.

my knowledge in this field is minimal and certainly not my forte.

Full size violin.

Length of back of about 14inches.

Overall length from top to bottom of about 23.25inches.

Curved back.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is subject to early repairs to the front of which is still requiring attention to the front edges where splits have been repaired poorly.

The front is coming away from the side at the problem side.

Similar to the rear with early and poor repairs to the edges and splits.

A chip to the top of the back .

Certainly needs attention to the sides.

Lack of keys to the top.

All as perpictures.

With todays modern & advanced restoration techniques, can certainly be improved,

Besides being a very collectable, 18th century, violin, c1790s, with restoration, would once again, be back to its best.
