There is a needle but needs a tip. added new pics Every thing works fine needs a good cleaning and oiling, it\'s stiff. I believe the way it holds your spool is at the top since that screw is so long if you unscrew it all the way place your spool between the two cone shape pieces then screw it back together. there is also a screw hole pictured i don\'t know what it\'s for. i will work with shipping if a flat rate box works and is cheaper i will save you some money.
