Features: Goldberg is a highly skilled artist as you can see in this colorful Modernist / Impressionist painting. From his French training, Goldberg brings a certain romance to his early work, of which this is a prime example. Today, Ronnie Goldberg has become more of an abstract painter but most impressively he's done the murals at the International Airport of Israel. From the net: Ronnie Goldberg, Painter, b. 1947, Munich, Germany (living in Israel since 1952). Goldberg’s natural artistic gifts were apparent at an early age and at the age of 16 he presented his first solo exhibition in Israel which was followed by 52 group and solo exhibitions in Israel and around the world. Since the late 1970's Goldberg's art has been focused on the selection and arrangement of geometric 3D shapes and colors. Goldberg often employs bright vivid colors to enhance his works. Working in both paint and 3D elements. Goldberg incorporates elements from his surroundings into his canvases: remnants of found natural objects, newspapers and metals. Goldberg consolidates all these materials built up on canvas or plywood in sensuous brush strokes ranging from thin and soft lines to strong sometimes aggressive explosive paint layers. In the 90's Goldberg embarked upon a successful career as a muralist. Among his creations: The international airport of Israel, the Jordanian Israeli border and other monumental projects. "I paint therefore I live" (Arnold Goldberg)
Background: Also from the net: Artist Name - Ronnie Goldberg. Born: Munich, 1947. Education: Beaux Art Academy in Paris. Artist Statement: Working with mixed techniques and materials, allows me to explore and expand the borders of my own capabilities and to challenge them again and again. I think of my art as a flexible reflection of both reality and imagination. In a continuous search to develop new techniques, I've created 3D kinetic art to be installed in urban, industrial and countryside Environments. Those artistic projects reflect my belief that art should be un separate from our everyday life. Solo Exhibitions: 9.
