Elite Israeli Paratroopers wore British supplied Mk. II paratrooper helmets during the 1967 Six Day War. These became part of the iconic image of the hard fighting Israeli paras who captured East Jerusalem and the Wailing Wall as their crowning achievement in the '67 War. This Israeli Paratrooper 1967 Six Day War BRITISH MK. II PARA JUMP HELMET is in good condition, with a small spot dent at the left crown, heavy age patina at front, moderate scattered age patina to the exterior, moderate chipping to the finish at the top of the crown and at back, some chipping to the finish at front, some scattered chipping to the finish around the crown, a tear in the leather interior sweatband at the right back, some light scattered indenting to the edge rim, heavy age patina inside, missing the middle rivet at the lower back, missing the chinstrap, and with moderate soiling to the interior suspension (ALL pictured). This helmet is certainly salty enough to know it's "been there". Otherwise, it's in fine shape, with absolutely no cracking or other damage to the tough steel construction, which retains approximately 60% of its original light OD exterior finish. The helmet features a brown leather interior sweatband, boasts an intact HBT interior suspension, and is complete with the original padding inside. It's completely unmarked as to its maker or date, and is a fine example of a rare, original Israeli Paratrooper 1967 Six Day War BRITISH MK.
