Item 24 - 1853 Us Liberty Head Quarter Eagle $2.50 2 1/2 Dollar Gold Coin:
I have fallen on hard times and must now start parting with my coin collection, starting with my coveted Liberty Head GOLD coin collection. I am not a professional, just a weekend coin collector. I always had it in the back of my mind that I could sell these for an emergency some day; I just never thought that “some day” would become a reality.
ITEM UP FOR SALE:1853 US Liberty Head Quarter Eagle $2.50 2 1/2 Dollar Gold Coin This coin has an extremely small mintage of 1,404,668! Who knows how many survived the 1933 government melt when 90% to 95% of all U.S. gold coins held by individuals, banks, and the Treasury were recalled, thrown into huge melting pots, and poured into 100-ounce and 400-ounce gold bars.
Think about it! There may be only 70,233 of these coins left!!!
This coin has not been professionally graded but is a nice example that is sure to please. All of my coins currently up for sale are Gem Brilliant Uncirculated.
2014 Red Book currently shows $550 to $1200This Coin contains 0.12094 Troy Oz of FINE GOLD! This coin is 160 years old and was minted before Abraham Lincoln was president!

Added another photo showing the coin now in its holder. I am admittedly the worst close-up photographer on the planet.
I decided to try and upload better photographs of each of my coins. The photos are not perfect, but much higher resolution. I hope this helps in your decision. Thank you!
