A great early English banjo-maker, J.E. Dallas name was used in the 1960’s to represent less-than-top-qualityproduct.This banjo,however, dating from probably the late 1890’s, is a true product of Mr. J.E.Dallas. Typical English Zither-Banjo configuration, the 5th stringgoes through a tube in the neck and comes out at the fifth fret, obviating the need for a fifth peg, so inconvenient, don’t you know, my good man.8” head, 10” resonator, 26” scale length, 35” total length. Sides of the resonator are veneered with Brazilian Rosewood. Some repair will be required...there are some seam separations, small chip out of fingerboard around 5th fret;neck is reasonably straight, should play OK with repair and adjustment.Offered on an AS-IS and No-Returns basis.Please check out some of the other interesting musical items we are offering on this week.
