I have up for sale\"ANGEL SERENADE\", FROM THE 214 SMALL HUMMEL NATIVITY SET. SHE IS A GLOSSY BEAUTIFULLY COLORED FIGURINE. AND LIKE ALL HUMMELS manufactured and hand painted by Goebel artisans in West Germany. She is 3 inchesx 2 inches in thekneeling position playing her beautiful instrument and singing her song for Baby Jesus. She is dressed in a pretty pink dress covered with stars. She has short brown hair and tiny wings upon her back. There are no cracks, repairs, breaks or crazing on thisfigure. She would be a wonderful addition to a nativity set or the first central piecefor a beginning collector.

Additional Information:

The Goebel Company was founded on January 30, 1871 by Franz Goebel and his son William. The first product lines consisted of slates, slate pencils and toy marbles. The company used many, many different trademarks over the years which have resulted in considerable confusion regarding the age of many collectibles.

After 64 years of manufacturing, Goebel introduced the first M.I. Hummel figurines in 1935. The beloved Hummel figurines were based on the drawings of Sister Maria Innocent Hummel, who lived from 1909 to 1946. Her artwork became a legacy of love and joy as did the figurines inspired by it. In fact, these quality earthenware figurines established Goebel as a top name in the world of ceramics.

Today, after 82 years of collectible tradition, M.I. Hummel figurines remain the world’s most beloved collectible. A beautiful tribute to the spirit of childhood and the talent of a brilliant artist. Her drawings became 3 dimensional through the manufacturing efforts of Goebel.
