Julius Sterling Morton [1832 1902]was an American politician and newspaper editorwho was appointed as the 3rd United States Secretary of Agriculture by President Grover Cleveland and is credited with founding ArborDay in 1872. Listed for sale is the autograph of Julius Sterling Morton signed on a card. The autograph is signed ''J. Sterling Morton SecretaryJan 8th 1894'' in black fountain pen and the card is affixed to a presentation album page.The card interestingly has a tree printed on it and measures 3.50 x 2.50 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. The presentation page measures 6.00 x 9.50 inches and is affixed with a vintage U.S postage stamp which commemorates Arbor Day. The autograph is authentic and uncommon to obtain for the autograph collector. We have listed a nice collection of military, aviation, historicaland astronaut autographs.
