JAPANESE ANTIQUE 19TH CENT MEIJI PERIOD AUTHENTIC FINE QUALITY SIGNED CARVED OX BONE NETSUKE OF THE THREE WISE MONKEYS, This sale is for a stunning super fine quality netsuke made during the 1800s by a master craftsman, the subject is wonderful and carved to the highist standerd, it shows the famous japanese three wise monkeys see no evil, speak no evil, and hear no evil. This absolute top end netsuke has been carved from a single piece of fine antique ox bone, The artist has signed this beautiful little gem on the base, I have no doubt that the signature reads the name of a master craftsman netsuke carver from the meiji period. 4.5cm x 3 cm, condition very good perfect. All in all this netsuke would look the star in any antique netsuke collection, This piece is a must for any real serious netsuke collector.
