Put a coin or round bead in his hand and push the back lever and it will disappear in his mouth, his eyes will roll upand the coin willcome down below into one of the three numbered slots. This type of mechanical game was used in bar rooms or pubs as a gambling devise on the bar itself.

The JollyN---- as they are known is a cast iron Black Americana mechanical bank . They originated in the 1880's. The bottom reads "J.E. STEVENS PAT593 the year 1887 is after the Pat number".

It has all flat screws and measures apx.8"tall,4 1/8" across front and 4 1/4" from front to back.it weighs apx.4.2 pounds unboxed.He is in good sound condition (please see photos).
