We are pleased to offer this rare c1895 Jacobi & Jenkins sterling silver raised fruit and floral centre bowl.

The highly regarded Baltimore firm founded in 1879 by A. Jacobi. Listed as Jacobi & Jenkins for only 14 years from 1895 to 1908. Acquired by Scofield in 1915.

Classic raised circular form with elegant winged acanthus and vine scroll, scallop rim.

Boldly carved fruit and floral sprays. Lush ripened cherry, strawberry, grape and more. Hanging from thick leafy branch. The strawberries with life like pot marked surface detail.

Set amidst sunflower, rose and delicate peony. Against rich satin surface.

The thick, well cast domed base with conforming acanthus and vine edge.

Never monogrammed.

This exceptional c1895 Jacobi and Jenkins sterling silver fruit and floral centre bowl is 9 inches diameter.

Exceptionally thick heavy guage sterling it weights 32 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The brilliant raised fruit and floral retain their original crisp vibrant detail. Stands firm on tabke. Tiny 1/8th or less inch bump to cherry.
