James Wyeth 1974 Riding to the Hunt Sterling Silver Plate w/ Box & COA What a fabulous find! This amazing solid sterling silver plate is the first in a series of five annual solid sterling silver collector’s plates. Each collector’s plate in this series is individually etched and serially numbered by the Franklin Mint in solid sterling silver. It is one in a series of plates which the artist designed. This lovely 1974 James Wyeth plate measures 8” in diameter and is in great condition and comes complete with preservation box, outer storage box, Certificate of Authenticity (Serial No. 2903) from the Franklin Mint, Collector’s Letter, and information pamphlet. The rich tone of the precious metal complements the finely detailed etching, while the brilliant reflectivity of silver helps capture the daylight which filters through the trees. James Wyeth has created a masterpiece with a sense of unity and peace that is altogether his own.
