Listed is a January 1963 Newspaper article found in a Civil War era scrapbook containing approximately 310 names of Confederate Prisoner of War soldiers being held at Camp Chase near Columbus, Ohio. In early January of 1863 the battle of Arkansas Post took place and the Confederates had 5500 soldiers. After the battle, the Confederates had approximately 100% casulties. They were all killed, wounded, or captured. The captured were sent to Camp Chase. The interesting thing about this list is that almost all were from TEXAS Units and several were from a unit known as the TEXAS RANGERS! There were also some from Arkansas and Missouri units.
