Issuance of the first edition of this book, which was one of the first full-fledged botanical books based on Herbalism in Japan, began in 1830. After that, when the first 6 books were issued in woodcut printing, the funds were depleted, and the subsequent volumes were distributed as manuscripts of reserved production. Distribution of 92 books was complete in 1828, and honzo-zufu was completed. According to the records, the total number of reservations is only 30 sets, and the first edition of this book is almost impossible to obtain. In 1922, whole volume of this book was issued in woodcut printing, but this is also difficult to find. The classification of plants in this book is based on the Chinese herbology book (Compendium of Materia Medica), which Kanen used for reference. Author Writer: Iwasaki kanen
