Japanese Ocean Liner Captain’s Tea Party Menu Fan, 5 ¾ inches long closed, 10 inches across open, marked “Printed in Japan” under the logo for “NYK Lines”, a menu printed on front in gold leaf for “Captain’s Tea Party”, also dated at bottom “Saturday, 12th March, 1960”, a few dark spots on one guard blade, printed paper fan on bamboo blades with brass rivet, over a stylized design of trees is the menu of Japanese foods includes Daifuku Mochi and Sushi plus assorted pastries, sandwiches, and green tea ice cream, Green Tea and Lipton was also served, the name of the ship was MS Hikara Maru and the Commander was K. Mizutani, lovely miniature fan that became a souvenir of a special journey, charming.
