Jasperware Heubach Bros. Indian Hunting Panthers Tray:
This is such a beautiful Jasperware tray with incredibly gorgeous detail of an American Indian in headdress hunting two panthers.
A large art nouveau type flower is in the edge at the upper left. The native American has one hand behind his back holding his bow and the other hand has an arrow in it. No chips or cracks that we can see.
The piece is marked with a circle with a "sun ray" design and something on top of the circle--maybe a crown. Mark is for Heubach Bros., Germany 1882+, but the mark in the book doesn't show the crown on the top.
Lovely piece in great condition.
There are two holes in the rim for hanging.
The tray is a little over 6" across and 5 1/2" from top to bottom.Piece was purchased from a dealer's estate and had $395 marked on it. Great buy and being sold with !!
