Born in Anjou, Jean-Paul Landreau spent part of his youth in Auvergne where he discovers the work of the earth as an amateur. In 1979, Jean-Paul moved to Great Britain. In London he first joined the School of Fine Arts in Harrow and then taught ceramics at Central School of Art and Design. Settled today in France in the Marais Poitevin and after having spent many years in Wales, Jean-Paul manipulates the land as the painter uses his canvas. A research on the forms and the texture characterizes his works which are wanted fresh and alive.
