Back in the 1980s New York's High-EndArt Gallerieswould add $100s to his works so hechose to sell to the publicdirectly viathe city's sidewalks.A piece this size would have had a street value of about $100.00. Stevens used to set upa tablein front ofthe MET where they would constantly harass him and call the police to chase himaway.An "Outsider Artist" to be sure! Fun piece from New York's artistic past!
