Adams and Jefferson both died on the same day, which was also the fourth of July 1826- the 50th anniversary of thefounding of thenation. This strange-but-true fact appeared in an extremely rarenewspaper clipping announcing the sad event, which is carefully reproduced in this collection, along with two items containing the autographs of both founding fathers.It is professionally matted and made to look as close to the priceless originals as possible.
