Here is an exceptional item indeed: A 14 page 1850 handwritten letter from John Campbell to report on his missionary activities in Jamaica. Campbell wasordainedin the Scottish Presbyterian church in 1846 and served in Jamaica from 1846 through 1871, leading two of the most important works there. Underill-healthhe returned to Scotland and died in 1882. Apparently unpublished, this incredible letterdiscussesthe decided hunger for theWordof God, the progress of the Gospel the supports of the Spirit in their labor etc. Very small but neatand legible hand. In very good condition with original envelope; envelope is soiled at edges but generally intactfairlyreadable. Addressed in the same hand.
