John G Sargent Autographed Typed Signed Small Note For Sale
John G. Sargent (1860-1939), a graduate of Tufts College, served as State Attorney General of Vermont from 1900-1902 and 1908-1912. He was appointed U.S. Attorney General on March 18, 1925 and served in the Coolidge Cabinet until March 5, 1929, succeeding Harlan F. Stone who had been appointed to the Supreme Court. After leaving Washington, he served and chairman of the Vermont Commission on Uniform State Laws and was a trustee of the Black River Academy. Frederick A. Britten (1871-1946) served as a Republican Congressman for Illinois from 1913 to 1935.
