On sale, we have a collection of 5 John James Audubon 19th century hand colored lithographs. These are all printed at the bottom "Drawn From Nature By J.J. Audubon F.R.S.F.L.S." and "Lith & Printed & Color by J.T. Bowen, Phila.". They have page numbers and plate numbers. These measure approximately 10 1/2" X 6 3/4". This group includes:1. Harris' Finch2. Evening Grosbeak3. Hooded Flycatching Warbler4. Western Bluebird4. Wilsons Phalarope
We believe these are in very good antique condition. The prints are bright, bold and clear. The Western Blue Bird has some age spotting in the paper and the Wilsons Phalarope has 2 spots. They have all been handled and have light wrinkles. As I am not an expert on art, please see my photographs for more description. This is from my friend who collects everything and is starting to part with a few of his treasures. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
