Each piece is made from unglazed matte porcelain to accentuate the forms and is inspired by our favorite artists' muses.Jonathan Adler pottery begins its life in our Soho studio, where Jonathan and his team design and sculpt every prototype. The product you are viewing is produced by skilled artisans at our main workshop in Peru. They make molds from our prototypes and then hand craft each piece from high-fired stoneware or porcelain. Our Peruvian workshop was found through Aid to Artisans, a non-profit organization that connects designers in America with artisans in developing countries to promote fair trade. This piece is previously owned by myself and sells for $400+ new. In response to a former question.I can not verify the authenticity. I purchased it second hand, and you would be purchasing it as is. If I recall correctly, there was not a signature but a felt covered bottom. It is very heavy and looks in every way-shape-and-form like an original Adler.
