Kukri, Nepalese Tulwar Hilted Kukri W/ Inlay, Brass & Copper Sun, Hindu Gods For SaleThis is a very interesting older kukri with a tulwar hilt. I suspect that it dates from the early 1800's, and it clearly has some age on it, especially on the hilt. The hilt is smaller than would be found on a sword, so I believe that it was actually made for this blade, as opposed to it being an assemble piece. The blade is larger than usual, as well. It also has some very interesting decorations, some chiseled work, and inlays both in copper and in brass. The decorations include the Sun of Nepal, and several Hindu gods, including one that may be Indra. There is also a line of lotuses along the back of the blade. The kukri is in very good condition, with a small chip to the blade near the point, some staining, and some very minor pitting. The blade is a little loose in the hilt, but not badly so. There is some black rust under the langets. The piece is 20 inches long overall, and the blade is 14 inches long.
Payment is expected within three days of close of sale. The ONLY exceptions must be by PRIOR arrangement.
