Kennedy Radio Model 220 Receiver, With 525 Amplifier, 1922, Nice:
You are offerding on a Colin B. Kennedy model 220 one tube battery receiver and model 525 two stage amplifier from about 1922. It is a very well made collectible set. This is the version made after the Kennedy factory was moved to St. Louis. It is an all original set with original finish and no modifications, but it needs a good cleaning for restoration as some dials have corrosion. The dials were originally silver plated, but are now tarnished brass. The only detractions on the 1 tube intermediate wave receiver are a split on the right back edge of the cabinet which needs to be re-glued, and the head is missing from a bolt holding the secondary condenser. It measures roughly 14 ½ by 12 ½ by 9 1/2 inches in size. The 2 stage model 525 amplifier does not have the ¼ inch plug with wire that comes thru the panel to plug into one of the three jacks. The output is wired directly to the output binding posts. Otherwise it is in all original condition. It measures 14 ½ by 8 by 9 ½ inches in size. I have not tried to operate the set, but three good emission Cunningham CX 301-A tubes are included. I have many more photos which can be added to the listing if I receive a request for them. I’m listing these as a set, as they have always been used together and should remain together. It’s a very nice early well made set that can be a showpiece for your collection after a good cleaning. Shipping weight is 35 pounds, and will be in an oversized box which may not be reflected correctly by the calculator. Also, shipping to some contries may require separate boxes for each piece due to size constraints. Please see my other sales for interesting phono, audio, and radio items plus tubes. Overseas buyers please note that any customs duties are the responsibility of the Buyer, and that occasionally overseas delivery takes longer than anticipated despite timely shipping.
