This sale is for a 1920-1930s era Complete Keystone 1200 Stereoview Boxed Set Tour of the World. It consists of24 (XXIV) Volume Stereographic Library Card Set in 12 double boxes designed to look likebooks PLUS the Third Edition of the Guidebook PLUSthe original Telebinocular viewer.

Every card is present and in correct order from #1 to #1200 in their respective boxes (I had a fun time verifying that as I traveled around the world in pictures). The guidebook is published by the Keystone View Co. and edited by Burton Holmes and others. The viewer is called a Telebinocular in the guidebook and a Televiewer on the outside of its separate box.

Unfortunately this set was stored somewhere with moisture problems but fortunately the cards were in the boxes and although the boxes are in rough shape, only a few of the cards are damaged. If you wantconditions on specific cards please let me know but I will list the boxes with card issues here. PLEASE NOTE that the card I have shown singly in the pictures is the worst one (all the other damaged cards have much less wrong with them), the next picture shows that card on top and the progressively less damaged ones below and the last picture shows a set of cards in excellent condition.

All cards are in excellent condition unless noted here: Volume XIII & XIV, cards 601-700. The dampness came in at the back of the box and about the last 10 cards show fading at the top of the card. In addition 601 has some paper from the box stuck to the top edge. Volume XV & XVI, cards 701-800. The dampness came in at the back and about the last 15 cards don't show damage but they are very faded. In addition 701 has some paper from the box stuck to the top edge. Volume XXIII & XXIV, cards 1101-1200. The dampness came in at the front of the box and 1102-1110 have water damage to the top of the card and fading at the top (NOTE: 1101 was at the back of the box out of order and is excellent). In addition the rest of the first 30 cards show slight fading at the top.

The boxes are in rough shape as shown in the pictures. Some of them are coming apart, some just have the water marks and some have the cloth inside very loose.

The Guidebook is stated to be the Third Edition published in April 1942. It has blue covers with gold lettering. There is some age spotting inside the covers but the pages are in excellent condition and the binding is tight. It measures about 5 1/2 by 7 3/4 inches and has 236 pages of mostly indexes into the cards, sorted by country, type of photo, etc. There is an owner's name written inside the back cover.

The viewer is in excellent condition with good optics. It comes with an adjustablestand and a card holder. The light is not included.

This set of cards is really quite awesome. There are some great native photos from all over the world showing tribes, peasant cottages, field work, etc. Thereisa whaling boat with the whales floating next to it and an oyster boat full of oysters.Marketplaces and cathedrals and everything in between.

Shipping this is going to be interesting since the entire lot weighs about 70 pounds (NO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE).I have put a flat rate of $100 on shipping this domestically. This is estimated and will depend on the buyer's choices. I expect to have a discussion about shipping when the sale is done and I will only charge what it actually costs me, so if it costs less, the difference will be refunded.
