King Seiko Historical Collection limited 2000 SCVN001Cal. 4S15 Item DescriptionGrand Seiko and King Seiko:Grand Seiko (GS) was born in 1960 and King Seiko (KS) was born in 1961. They are both Seiko\'s brand, but they used to produce them at different factories, and they competed each other to produce high quality mechanical watches.
Sadly, due to the spread of quartz watch, Seiko stopped producing both GS and KS in 1975. GS made a comeback in 1988 as high quality quartz watch, but KG\'s production was discontinued.
In 2000, Seiko reproduced King Seiko 56KS model, which is KS\'s first automatic movement watch in 1968, for limited number of 2000 watches.The case is upgraded to sapphire glass and water resistance is upgraded to10 ATM water resistant.
The movement of this watch, Cal. 4S15 is based on 56KS\'s movement 52 series.
Although the movement of 4S series was high quality, the production cost was high against quality, so unfortunately the production of 4S series ended. So this model is must-see watch for Seiko watch collectors.Condition:There is no significant damage, and overall it is in good condition.There are small scratches on lug, bezel and at the back and side of watch.Dial and face are in great condition.
