TheclassicKorean War through the 1960s Cold Warstandard US Army parka was theM-1951 parka whose design was based on the classic M-1948 Parka, but much easier to produce in quantity. These parkas are generously sized and made to fit over a full combat uniform and light field pack.
The parka shell is in very fine+ condition and has few, if any flaws or issues, and no rips or tears in the shell. The wool pile lining isalso in excellentshape. The coyote fur trim hood is in good+ condition with some slight shedding (60+ years old and I have owned it for 18 years - I sued to wear it until I got my M-1948 a few months after I acquired this one). The wire inside the trim is still fully functional too. All stamps and buttons are present. The drawstrings are in excellent condition as are the cuffs (no fraying). The large Talon brand metal zipper is in excellent working condition. This is an overallvery fine+parka that has seen very good care and no abuse. It would be very hard to upgrade.

Parka Liner - The manufacturer is Salem Products Corporation. The liner is 100% nylon face with 100% deep wool pile fill.
Fur Hood - The manufacturer is Hudson Garment Company and the manufacturing date is June 1953
Trigger Finger "shooter's" gloves - The manufacturer is Eisendrath Glove Company and the manufacturing date is 1952. The size is marked large.
