Kosher Sefer Torah Scroll And 7 Mezuzoth (new) For Sale
My personal Sefer Torah writen by HaRav Yosef Maghori-Kohen, for sale In the Name of HASHEM, God Eternal
Hello my name is Billy Jack Dial and due to unforeseen circumstances I must part with this year old dear Torah Scroll.
This Torah scroll, 60 cm tall with a 60 cm circumference, was written by HaRav Yosef Maghori-Kohen, strictly according to ancient Yemenite massorah (tradition), which is practically identical to that of the Keter Aram Soba the only legitimate version of the Torah scroll according to RaMBaM (Maimonides). It was written on skins that were processed (tanned) according to the three stages outlined explicitly by the RaMBaM, this being halakhah from Moses at Sinai: (1) pickling in salt, (2) soaking in barley flour solution, and (3) tannic acid. All details of the writing are strictly in accordance to authentic halakhah, according to the writing style of Eretz Yisrael (common to Yemen and other Eastern communities), with a reed pen and authentic, traditional ink.
After the scroll was completed, crowns were placed on the letters by a second scribe. The scroll then underwent two exhaustive inspections, first manually by a human expert and then by computer. Finally the pages were sewn together, and consequently sewn into an Aron (case) of pine wood. The Aron is round, representing the infinity (Ein Sof) of HaShem. The case is a display case and not able to be used in a reading. Finally the scroll was received by Billy Jack Dial on 3 Heshwan 5770 (October 21, 2009).
The sofer (scribe), HaRav Yosef Maghori-Kohen, is an elder Yemenite-Jewish rabbi of considerable repute. He is of direct patrilineal descent from the priestly clan of Yehoyariv, the first among the 24 priestly shifts that King David established. (I Chronicles 24:7) The Hasmonean family of Chanukah/">Hannukah fame was from this illustrious line as well. For this reason, the rabbi insists on living in the town of Hashmonaim, from where the family hails. In fact, the Maghori-Kohen family is the only pedigreed family of Kohanim who retained an ancient document of their generations.
The Rav Yosef Maghori-Kohen has been writing Torah scrolls, tefillin, mezuzoth and scrolls of Esther for 50 years. He writes according to ancient tradition with a reed pen, as Moses was hidden among reeds in Egypt. (Exodus 2:3). He writes with strict discipline of sanctity, immersing daily in a miqweh, and not speaking to anyone while he writes.
This Sefer Torah is guaranteed Kosher.
Also included is 7 kosher mezuzah written by the same rabbi.
