L102 ANTIQUE AMERICAN 19TH CENTURY FEDERAL PERIOD CHERRY WORK TABLE STAND

Item Description We are pleased to offer this Antique American 19th Century Federal period Sheraton Cherry One Drawer Work Table. Raised turned legs, replaced knob, beautiful original finish with natural aged patina, some marks to top which is not attached. Dovetail drawers with bead molding. As noted by Wallace Nutting in 1928; "These fascinating worktables are among the rare but simple and appealing small pieces clear to the hearts of a collector. There is a flavor about them which gives a small room proper atmosphere".
