Offered for your consideration this Rare Set of Towle Old Colonial Sterling Silver 5 Ice Tea Spoons , NO MONOGRAM, 158.9 Total Grams. This gorgeous sterling pattern has a glossy finish and is accented with beads and a pointed tip. The handles have a scroll design that is enhanced by the delicate piercing that appears on each piece. No Monogram. The Old Colonial pattern was inspired by the historic Newburyport area located on the North Shore of Essex County, Massachusetts. In fact, Towle published a pamphlet entitled The Old Colonial Book of Newburyport and Vicinity, to accompany the Old Colonial pattern when the pattern debuted in 1895. This book contains a treasure trove of facts about the gracious colonial homes and plantations of the Newburyport settlement.
