Large 2 Weight Vienna Regulator German Antique Wall Clock 100% All Original:
This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL VERY LARGE 100% ALL ORIGINAL example of a German 2 weight Vienna Regulator Wall Clock in superior condition. German Vienna's are of the highest quality. This clock has a heavy duty 8 day time and strike WEIGHT DRIVEN movement, which was one of the best German movements made. It was made in Germany circa 1890. Clocks with weights are more accurate than clocks with springs because when the springs are first wound they run slightly fast and as they lose tension the clock will run somewhat slower. Clocks that needed to keep nearly perfect time, like jewelers regulators, were always driven by weights. The Vienna's in our collection is much more accurate that modern-day quartz clocks. This clock is accurate to a few seconds a month. The original pendulum has an adjustor! The clock is fun and very easy to wind with its included crank. This clock has its original long beautiful pendulum. Also the German clocks in our collection have not yet required any servicing and have kept perfect time for many, many years. This particular model strikes the half hour and counts the hours on a large cathedral gong with a very nice “German Clock" sound. Very high quality movement. The movement is attached to the original seat board and slides out for easy adjustment and viewing. No need to take the dial or even the hands off! Has its original locking screws to hold it in place. German clocks are especially nice also in that they made it easy to service them. The glass is original and wavy with seeds! The movement runs very well and keeps good time. This fine clock is signed by the maker. So many of these fine German and French clocks are not signed. Hard to understand as they are the best made in the world. In early Germany nearly every town has its own clockmaker that made clocks as well as serviced them. This clock is very large and heavy and measures 51 inches high, 17 inches wide and 8 inches deep. Has a super high quality design. There is the original glass on three sides in which you can view the movement working and the pendulum swinging! The clock has a nice quiet way it ticks also. The case is beautiful, not perfect but close to it! A very straight artistic design. The crown is the original and all the finials are also original! The porcelain dial is in superior condition, easy to read with the seconds bit that most Vienna's do not have. Does have a few faint hairlines. Fancy Original hands. Vienna's are easy and fun to wind, due to the high quality of the movement. The original finish looks very beautiful.

We will be at the NAWCC National clock convention at Dayton OH. Going in our vintage Airstream (with all the kitties!) June 29th through August 2nd . This is a great convention. Then we’re planning on visiting Donna’s Sister and brother in law in Conway MO. Then we’re planning on taking a summer vacation camping in Colorado! It looks like we’ll probably not have much internet access during the trip with all the driving, convention activities, and camping in the National Forests. We’ll ship ASAP right after returning. We’ll begin shipping on Monday right after we get back. Sorry for the inconvenience.
