The case, dial, movement, and bellows are all original and in superior condition and the clock runs perfectly with a really neat full cuckoo quail sound and strikes on gongs also. The handmade solid walnut case is in superior condition with a beautiful walnut finish. Lots of hand carvings and fancy inlaid wood. No cracks or breaks. It is large and measures 29 inches high as pictured (including the pendulum), 15 inches wide and 7 inches deep. The 3 weights are original (rare!). Each weight is about 2 pounds to power this clock. It needs about 60 inches from top to bottom for the weights to drop as it runs. It has a heavy duty 30-hour movement which chimes on gongs and cuckoos and quails on the 1/4 hour with a neat cheerful sound and counts the hours on the hour on the gongs with the cuckoo bird singing its little heart out. The back door is original and fits well with the original double gong. You can adjust the time to slow and fast on the original pendulum. The case is solid walnut and outstanding.
