Offered:Exceptionally large and beautiful Edwardian era shell cameo in fancy filigreegold frame, This intricately carved beauty measures approximately: 2 and 1/4 inches by 1 and 3/4 inches. The frame is substantial and tests around 8 or 9ct. There is a small "pop up" bail and working trumpet type safety clasp. I have captured what appears to be a fissure in the upper corner but I cannot feel a crack with my nail; it is most likely either a natural inclusion or a stress point to the shell when it was mounted in the frame. Love the Downtonerastyle of this lady! Offered without reserve!
