Up for sale with is a Gorgeous Large Durgin Repoussé Sterling Silver Centerpiece Serving Bowl. The Bowl is one of the finest examples I have ever seen with amazing Repoussé Floral designs covering the outside and top is done in a fabulous Ruffle form. The Bowl also features 3 wonderful Melon form feet. The bowl is a Period Art Nouveau example being Dated 1891 on the bottom. The bowl is an impressive example and a nice practical size for modern use measuring 8 inches across the top and sitting 3-3/4 inches tall. The bowl is also nice Thick Solid Sterling Silver throughout with a fine quality weight of 467 grams. This beauty is in excellent all original condition for the age with no large dents, cracks or repairs and features a fine period monogram on the bottom, which could be buffed out if you so desired. The Bowl is beautiful to display on its own or would be perfect for serving dinner rolls, fruit etc. I'm sure the new owner will be most impressed with their new Antique Treasure and it will prove a fine investment for the future. Most sellers would be starting off a large Sterling example such as this at melt value but we have never had a reserve in 8+ years of selling on and we will not be starting anytime soon !
