a very earlyart nouveau pewter rose bowlproduced by liberty & co as part of their tudric rangein the arts & craftsjugendstil era in the early 1900'saround thetimeof wmf,kayserzinn and orivitin germany and the same time as the launch of thetudric & cymric ranges of art nouveau pewter & silver wareranges by archibald knox for liberty &co,this piece was designed by david veasey as part of his tree of life group,this is a very large piece measuring 12" across the handlesand 4.5" high,itweighs approximately 1.6kg the size and weight are reflected in the postage charges,it has been polished but the external design and mottoares still in good relief,however the interior is pitted to thebase and sides so obviously filled with earth and used as a planter,i have filled it with water and it does not leak,like the jug i've just sold,i've had it in the fireplace with dried flowers for several years,marked to the base tudricand the design number011 so a very early piece around 1902,if you need any more info please e-mail me.
