Large Heavy Sterling Silver Thimble Queen Elizabeth Ii Royal Jubilee 1977 16g For Sale
A superb quality large solid
sterling silver commemorative thimble. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1977
with the maker’s marks being JS&S for James Swann and Son. It has been made
to mark the silver jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II being decorated with ER and
the crown along with the dates 1952-1977 and tiny shamrock, thistles and roses
representing England Ireland and Scotland. It is in perfect condition being free from
dings splits holes distortions and repairs. It measures almost 1.25 inches (3cms)
tall and weighs 16 grams (very heavy in the world of the thimble). A top
quality more unusual example.
