ON NATURAL LINEN, WITH HAND-DONE SCALLOPED CROCHET EDGING.DATING FROM AROUND 1890 - 1900. IT WEIGHS 1.428 KGS UNPACKEDIT MEASURES 82" (2.08) X 64" (1.63) SO WILL FIT WIDTHWAYS ON A 6' BED (SEE PIC 6)IT WOULD ALSO MAKE A BEAUTIFUL WALL HANGING OR DOOR CURTAIN (PICTURE 1)THE DESIGN CONSISTS OF 12 FLORAL EMBROIDERED PANELS, WORKED IN WOOL,
IN SHADES OF BLUE, GOLD, RUSSETT RED AND BROWN.
THE EMBROIDERY IS JACOBEAN IN STYLE , AND FEATURES STEM STITCH AND FRENCH KNOTS (PICS 7,8 & 9).
THE CROCHET EDGING IS IN NATURAL COLOURED COTTON (PICS 10 & 11).
PICTURE 12 SHOWS THE SMALL BREAK WHERE THE CROCHET JOINS THE LINEN.
