Amazing antique (1920\'s) Le Creuset casserole set. This set consists of a 10qt and a 3qt casserole, both with high lids. The large one is 20 1/2 inches long, 14 wide and 6 1/4 high without lid, 9 inches with lid (not measuring handle). So it is the perfect Christmas casserole. The smaller casserole is 15 inches long, 9 1/2 wide and 4 1/2 high without lid, 6 1/2 with lid. It is a very rare set, especially in this condition. They have always been cared for really well, and they were used by an older woman in the Black forest region in Germany. The set also comes with a FREE new Le Creuset carving set, so you\'ll be prepared for any big bird.
Casseroles like these were casted in a sand mold, and that is why there is a scar on the bottom. It is the entrance of the mold, and most excess was grinded of, but not all, to keep it extra strong. The old Le Creuset brandmark, the L and C combined, is on both the casserole and the lid (see pics).
